Me

Heya! I'm the developer and designer behind this website and the mind behind these lovely characters you see featured here. I'm a doctorate in computer graphics (computer science), with a background in neuroscience (specializing in human-computer interfaces and design). I do work in computational visualization for neuroscience research, but I have a big passion and appreciation for cartoons, animation, and art. In my free time, I love to brush up and dabble with my drawing and animation skills to make silly little drawings for my friends, with a little dabbling in game development!

I started this website as a personal project after getting my Ph.D., and wanted to create a nice little corner to share and archive the wonderful and amazing art I've treasured throughout the years from the many talented artists and friends I've had the great fortune to meet and commission, along with a few pieces of my own. Ziggy

Zig is sharp, quick-witted, and intelligent, hiding behind a laid-back, lazy demeanor and the mask of an occasionally dramatic and poetic fool. He is a quintessential trickster archetype: clever, chaotic, and occasionally self-sabotaging, albeit unintentionally. In Zig's mind, rules exist to be broken and expectations are to be subverted. These ideas more often than not have him stumble into trouble, often of his own making. A travelling troubadour, he likes to venture from place to place, collecting stories and chasing down myths; one could call him a bit of a cryptid hunter.

He projects confidence and bravado, with a preference for playing the fool, although much of it is a performative façade. He does not usually break character; however, in moments of sincerity, vulnerability, or frustration, he is easily flustered, embarrassed, or even indignant if things spiral out of his control. Though in times of crisis, his analytical and well-read nature shines through, often culminating in some last-minute, barely put-together, but ingenious plan to save the day.

Elliot

Elliot is an odd cross between an axolotl and an imp, and it shows in his adventurous and chaotic-neutral leaning personality. He is a natural explorer with an insatiable curiosity, and a playful and mischievious eccentric who is otherwise mostly well-meaning. He is a short stack with a tiny bit of a Napoleon complex, and heavily dislikes being picked up, carried around, or talked down to. He loves being sarcastic, though he isn't very good at it. Elliot has an iron stomach, and can and will eat just about anything, in any volume or condition, much to many people's surprise.

Elliot often travels with Zig, however, when stuck with Zig's theatrics, he often plays the straight man and the occasional voice of reason who is frequently exasperated by the predicaments Zig gets himself into. Despite the chaos and periodical grumbling, he remains Zig's accomplice, best friend, and unwavering partner-in-crime.

Romeo

Romeo is a walking sunbeam of positivity who likes to celebrate life. He's a down-to-earth, always-happy optimist, almost always seen with a big smile, never hesitating to cheer people on. He's goofy, loves puns, and cheers on his friends, often to the point of embarrassing them (unintentionally!). His laugh is infectious, and the more somber and stoic his surroundings, the harder he tries to make everyone laugh.
